DAO stands for Data Access Object, and as the name suggests this package contains interfaces and classes for accessing database layer
Almost every class from package beans has DAO here. Functions for accessing database are grouped by data that they return. If you need funcions for retrieving Answer-s from database look at Interface AnswerDao and class AnswerDaoDerby (etc.)
